No Dress Code
No Dress Code is a web-show created by Colton Nelson for RCN Media in 2018. The show consist of short episodes tackling fun facts and humor. The show airs Sundays on RCN Media, YouTube, and Facebook. The show is written by Colton Nelson, who also serves as the show runner. The first season started July 2018 and ended in October 2018. The second season aired from June 2019 until October 2019. A third season is in the works. The Show was originally named The Online Commentary but changed to No Dress Code in February 2020. The third season premiered on June 30, 2020.
PRODUCTION OF THE SHOW
In March 2019 the series was renewed for a second season of 10 episodes, which premiered on June 30, 2019. The first 4 episodes were a failure with the ratings and Colton not having time to promote and complete the show it was canceled with no more episodes to produce. After a long talk with RCN Media, Colton Nelson convinced the series to finish it's second season with new staff. The last 6 episodes finished in the second half of 2019, starting in August and ending in October. The second season completed with moderate success, and RCN Media renewed the series for a third season of 10 episodes. It was also announced that new staff would be brought on, and Colton would take a more involved approach to the series again, like season 1 for season 3.
In February of 2020 RCN Media re-branded the series as No Dress Code from the Online Commentary. The transition is set to be completed before the premier of season 3. The Series was also renewed for a third season of 10 episodes.
In April 2020 RCN Media announced that the third season would premier on the last Tuesday May 2020, due to the COVID-19 pandemic and wanting to give people content while they are all at home. The scripts were written, mainly, from March 15, 2020 until April 20, 2020. Audio production started the next day and finished on April 24, 2020. Animation for the season started on April 25, 2020 and is set to conclude May 15, 2020.
In April 2020, RCN Media announced that the series would move to Tuesdays and would air every other week.
